The Baraset is the place to be for eating out over the festive period for Christmas lunch or dinner and to celebrate the New Year.

As well as the space and facilities to host large groups in the main bar or dining room, the private dining room is ideal for party bookings or family gatherings.

We're offering another excellent menu for New Year's Eve.

The Baraset Barn is open as normal over the festive period.

Open Food 12-3pm, 6.30-9.30pm for Christmas family supper.
Bar 12-11pm.

Christmas Day
Open for Champagne and Festivities! Lunch £95 per head.
Bar 12-4pm.

Boxing Day
Bar Open for Bloody Marys and Food from 12-4pm

New Years Eve
5 Course Black Tie Dinner, £95 per head, dancing till late

New Years Day
Closed

French onion soup with Applewood cheddar crostini

Potted game pate and spiced pear chutney

Vodka & beetroot cured salmon, sieved egg, capers, horseradish crème fraiche

Pinot Grigio baked mushrooms with Stiratta Romagna

Braised blade of beef, gorgonzola mash, roast root vegetables

Pot roast chicken, chestnut & apricot stuffing, duck fat roast potatoes,
sprouts, pancetta and nutmeg

Salmon fillet, wild mushrooms creamed spinach,

Christmas Day at the Baraset 2011

Christmas day at the Baraset will be a grand affair with excitement and cheer in bountiful supply. Enjoy a family treat with us at lunch.

Now for the formalities of the day. The cost will be £95 per person and £45 per little adult 10 years and under, plus a service charge of 10%, which will be for all the team members that serve you throughout lunch.

Payment for lunch will be taken as a non refundable deposit two weeks prior to Christmas day, and so that on the day you will only have to pay for your drinks. Please contact us direct to make a reservation. Call us and book your table soonest.

Pressed terrine of smoked duck, chicken and foie gras with cipollini onions,

Coquilles St Jacques thermidore

New Year's Eve 2011

For those urbanites wanting a break from the chores of Christmas, New Year's Eve at the Baraset is going to be a grand occasion!

The evening will start with champagne and canapés in our lounge, followed by a five course supper with an alternative vegetarian menu, please let us know.

Chicken, Prune and Leek Soup

St James whiskey smoked salmon sour dough and horseradish butter;
scallops with anchovies, chilli and parsley, King prawns in garlic butter

Fillet of beef, truffle and parsley mash, button onions, wild mushroom, Madeira jus
or
Loin of Halibut, watercress, asparagus, hollandaise, Serrano potato croquettes

All served with creamed savoy cabbage and bacon, parmesan roast root vegetables

Lemoncello posset, lemon meringue pie and lemon sorbet

Coffee and Petit Fours

 

Fabulous dresses, chic suits and dancing shoes are the order of the evening!

Our resident DJ will commence the music at 10.30 and continue to 01.00 in the morning. The bar closes at this time and so carriages should be booked from then.

Now for the formalities of the evening. The cost will be £95 per person plus a service charge of 10%, which will be for all the team members that serve you throughout the evening.
